The Martial

Hailing from the South of The Netherlands (Breda), songwriter and multi-instrumentalist The Martial brings his own perspective to country music. Drawing inspiration from a blend of styles, The Martial creates a refreshing form of music that effortlessly merges modern country music with soft rock.

In songwriting, The Martial showcases his vulnerability. “I mostly write from an introspective point of view, carefully touching on topics such as life, love and hope”, The Martial explains. “As time changes, there will always be new stories to write about”.

Following the release of his self-titled debut EP back in 2018, The Martial pressed on as he performed at UK country festival Buckle & Boots and opened shows for artists such as Luke Combs, Lindsay Ell and Ashley Campbell.

Shortly after in 2020 The Martial began laying the groundwork for his second EP, releasing multiple singles and founding his own record label ‘Butterfly Knife Records’ in 2021. The next EP, featuring ‘Tell Me Where You Are’, ‘Shining Like The Sun’ and new single 'Down In My Heart', will be coming to you this year.
