About this concert
The Orchestras 2021/22 season features a number of rising star artists; pianist Michelle Cann has certainly earned her place among them. Performing since the age 7, she makes her Atlanta Symphony Orchestra debut with Florence Prices Piano Concerto in One Movement, a piece she is playing to great acclaim. Also, Principal Guest Conductor Donald Runnicles leads the orchestra in Mahlers First Symphony, a piece that initially confounded audiences with its daring and innovation. Open your ears and hearts this weekend and enjoy this sunny, spring-inspired symphony alongside the gifted Michelle Cann.
