Now vs. Now Biography

Formed in 2006, Now Vs Now is the realization of keyboardist/leader Jason Lindner's musical vision for a futuristic universal live band. “Rhythm provides more than a heartbeat for Jason Lindner. It also seems to fuel his respiratory functions and digestive activity, and maybe his neurons...What matters to him is groove, however it comes.” - The New York Times "...an open minded kid from Brooklyn [Lindner] became one of jazz's most interesting keyboardists, with an identity spanning genres, cultures, formats and technologies." - JazzTimes “Will this alien music make you want to dance? Absolutely, but be warned: once you step into the group's intoxicating, alternate universe, you may find it hard to leave.” - NPR The Checkout "...warm, echoey electric piano, synthy sounds from outer space, rock and punk and hip-hop, and ideas from Africa and Asia. The music is weird, dreamy, unpredictable and sinister; it constantly plays with your expectactions." - JazzTimes, Feb 2014 feature The band's new release, Earth Analog, topped iTunes' Jazz charts at number 1 and has been called "A manifesto in the form of an album." by Nate Chinen of the New York Times. Their debut album, Jason Lindner Gives You Now Vs Now, was produced by Meshell Ndegeocello, mixed by Bob Power (Q-Tip, Roots) and features special guests including beatboxer/emcee Baba Israel, trumpeter Avishai Cohen and Meshell Ndegeocello. "weird, dreamy, unpredictable and sinister; it constantly plays with your expectactions." - JazzTimes
