About this concert
We worked all winter on our new record, "Desperate Times on the New Hampshire State Line" and it's ready for the world to hear! We had been planning a kick-ass record release show but there is a big bad bug wondering our streets killing people so they closed the world. However, never fear, Pillheads, we have a plan.
We will be hosting livestream listening parties on our socials from our respective homes over three weekends starting Saturday May 9 at 4:20pm (EST) and then the following Saturdays May 13 and May 23. Three 30 minute episodes where we will play a few tracks, talk about the process, life in quarantine, get weird, drink wine, smoke weed, and pine the future of live performance.

Bitter Pill Biography
Self-described as “rhythm and bluegrass,” Bitter Pill is a tight-knit family, (literally father and daughter) who play a dark and anachronistic twist of folk, blues, jazz, rockabilly, and country. They released their first album, “Prepare Your Throats,” in the fall of 2018. A collection of traditional and original songs from the soundtrack of their staging of William Shakespeare’s violent, bloody, grotesquely ridiculous abomination of a play, “Titus Andronicus.” They released their second album May 2020, “Desperate Times on the New Hampshire State Line,” a whimsical collection of foot stompin’, hand clappin’, spirited cross-genre tunes. Now available for purchase and streaming on all the streamers.
Their third album, “livin aint cheap, dyin aint free” was released in July 2022. They will be heading back into the studio to record their new children’s album, “Children of the Grim.” A neo-gothic musical play of original and traditional children’s stories, nursery rhymes, and folk songs which had its theatrical workshop premiere in May 2022 at The Players’ Ring Theatre.
