With gleaming eyes and hearts of braided steel The verdant levee heralds overtop To steady drum-beat, heavy thunder-clop As thrumming horn-blasts echo overfield And strummed are songs of purpose, to unseal The lightness underneath the hearts of men And darkness too, lest we forget again: In nature’s balance, all will be revealed No governance of rules, but rule by feel Barriers and borders cast afire Mate sorcery with science, web to wire Unmake the world to make it something real When lines are broken, truth flows ever free Of weirdness, wonder, space, and harmony Space & Harmony is a semi-fluid side project consisting of equal parts The Revivalists (bassist George Gekas and saxophonist Rob Ingraham) and Naughty Professor (guitarist Bill Daniel and drummer Sam Shahin) and often intersecting with other prodigious individuals from the greater New Orleans area (most notably sci-fi guitar legend Cliff Hines). They play music that has been praised as “pretty good” and “sufficiently weird” by members of the band Space & Harmony. Young-ish New Orleans supergroup gets together after school to play complicated music.
