Vinnie Paolizzi

Philadelphia Pennsylvania has long been a breeding ground for musicians and artists of all kinds. Legendary artists from every generation have hailed from this city rich in art and culture. Singer-songwriter Vinnie Paolizzi is an up and coming artist that calls this city home. He grew up in a large suburb outside the city but now lives and attends school at Temple University in North Philadelphia. Music was playing in almost every moment of his early life and stealing his Dad’s Bruce Springsteen albums as a kid fueled his drive to pursue music. From Bob Marley to The Eagles and everything in between could be heard echoing through the house. When he was finally old enough to get to the store himself, the first albums he ever purchased were an AC/DC Live CD and a Led Zeppelin box set. As soon as he read every album note and looked through every photo, all he could think about was getting his hands on a guitar. At 13, this dream finally came true. After a few lessons from his uncle, he started performing at talent shows all the while writing and playing as much as he possibly could. After playing in bands during middle and high school he began exploring coffee shops and bars around the city as a solo artist playing his own music. He has now started recording and is looking to make a name for himself in his hometown. Vinnie’s guitar playing has been heavily influenced by Dave Matthews and John Mayer, two musicians whom he admires tremendously; but he will never forget his classic rock roots. Without Springsteen, Led Zeppelin and AC/DC as his foundation, he would have never explored the world of music at such great length. His songwriting influences include: Jason Mraz, Jackson Browne and Ray LaMontagne as well as countless others that have impacted him through small live performances. His use of dynamics gives his songs life while reaching out and grabbing the attention of listeners unlike many songs on the radio today. Vinnie is simply an honest songwriter who puts 100% of himself into every word that he sings. Just a musician hoping you listen.
