Cornflower’s sound emerges from the moment connecting you to your Soul. His voice calls us deeper into Presence utilizing modern mantra-like lyrics upon a landscape of vocal loops, he builds layers and dimensions of harmony and groove like a sonic tapestry into an anthemic chant to set your body ablaze in movement and prayer.
With influences ranging from Phish to Michael Jackson and Al Jarreau to Björk, Cornflower’s music is a mix of experimental vocal soul, world-funk, jam & electronica layered over a delicate balance of structure and improvisation.
Cornflower has shared stages with the likes of Kenny Loggins, Michael Franti & Spearhead, Bobby McFerrin, Victor Wooten, Jeff Pevar, Zach Gill of ALO + Jack Johnson, Ayla Nereo, Mike Love, DJ Drez, Indubious, The Everyone Orchestra, Desert Dwellers, Shamans Dream, Jai-Jagdeesh, Fanna-Fi-Allah, Yoga with Janet Stone, scientist, and author Nassim Haramein, and best-selling authors Gary Zukav, Neale Donald Walsch, Gregg Braden, James Twyman, and Dr. Joe Dispenza. He has also been playing Ecstatic Dance floors across the United States since 2017 in; Ashland OR, Eugene OR, Mount Shasta CA, Chico CA, SoulPlay Festival in CA, Fairfax CA, San Rafael CA, Oakland CA, Mountain View CA, Santa Cruz CA, Fresno CA, Salt Lake City UT, Albuquerque NM, Boulder CO, Fort Collins CO, Denver CO, Cleveland OH, Pittsburgh PA, Washington DC, Durham NC, Asheville NC, Charleston SC, Atlanta GA, Athens GA, Boca Raton FL, and St Petersburg FL.
Cornflower studied with ten-time Grammy Winner Bobby McFerrin and was a guest leader at the annual 12-hour Circlesinging event called “Singing for your Life" in 2005 alongside members of SoVoSo.
Cornflower intends to bring forth music that inspires, empowers, and uplifts individuals into peak experiences, leading them toward greater self-awareness and connection with themselves and others with the intention to create a community of individuals who are living their purpose and in service.
