The Gasoline Gypsies Biography
Playing Rock and Roll, inspired by the roots of the art, with tastes of blues and southern rock influences, The Gasoline Gypsies combine hard work, mature poetry, and stellar musicianship to create shows that can acoustically move the souls of listening room audiences, or thrill bodies into motion at full blown, electric rock shows.
Dual lead guitar work, crisp three part harmonies, melodic bass lines, and hard hitting drums combine to reverently pay homage to the past, while keeping a laser focused eye on a future revolution of unique and fresh music that feels like the roots of rock and roll.
The Gasoline Gypsies have grown exponentially the past couple years. They’ve racked up five major Detroit Music Awards, were named one of the three “Best Unsigned American Bands” by JBL Sound, won the 2017 Michigan State Fair Superstar Contest, took the title of Best Original Rock Band in Michigan in the 2018 WDIV Click on Detroit Local 4 Detroit Viewers Poll.
The Gypsies recently have earned regular rotation radio air play in markets outside of the Midwest, most notably, the Triangle Markets of the Carolinas, and they will be touring the southeast in early 2020.
Vagabundos, their most recent EP, has animated a loyal fan base, naming themselves after the recording’s title. These dedicated “Vagabundos,” are a critical essence to all that is The Gasoline Gypsies. They’ve given rise to a band tribe that travels to festivals, engages in band experiences, and provides a sense of community that bonds over experiencing amazing friendship, and living in that sweet, sweet music, that is starting a Roots Rock Revolution.
