The Broken String Band

Hailing from Athens, Georgia, The Broken String Band is a band that pushes the envelope when it comes to the attitude and energy that is expected out of a folk rock act. The Broken String Band’s name is a double entendre that hints towards their inclination to break strings from pushing the limits of their traditional string band instruments as well as the limits of what is expected out of a traditional string band. Their eclectic sound contains elements from reggae, r&b, ska, samba, and of course, rock. Their electric energy sets a breakneck pace at their live shows that takes the audience through a roller coaster ride of ups and downs entertaining the crowd the whole way through.
