CHAKA

Chaka is a group of young musicians spreading the jazz fusion genre as far as we can. We play a range of different music from jazz standards, to modern jazz, to funk, and we bring these together through a fusion sound creating something that everyone can enjoy listening to. Our band consists of a three piece group including tenor sax, piano/guitar/bass and drums. We also play as a quartet with a sax, piano, bass and drums. We’ve performed at many establishments around Dunedin, Clearwater and St.Pete including Kelly's Restaurant and Bar, The Blur, the Dunedin Brewery, Sterling Wine Bar, and in the Clearwater Jazz Festival. We have also played at many different private events/weddings at Feather Sound Country Club and various hotels. We all attend music conservatories at Berklee and The University of Miami. We love what we do, and hope to play for you in the coming future.
