Dylan E. Miller Biography

Dylan E. Miller is a Singer-Songwriter and multi-instrumentalist hailing from historic Huntingdon Pennsylvania. Dylan has an indiscriminate musical influence, pulling inspiration from all genres of music. A blues historian and music history enthusiast his compositions are heavily influenced by the pre-war and piedmont blues- an alternating bass thumb finger-picking technique playing lead with the fingers. His hardened yet sophisticated approach to his performing, lyricism and unique compositions are harmoniously complemented by his warm yet ghostly vocals.

As a fifth generation musician, Dylan began studying and practicing music at a young age. He released his first collaborative professional EP at the emerging age of 19 showcasing talents as a songwriter, bassist, and guitarist. A second collaborative effort published 3 years later, epitomized his talents as a songwriter, mandolinist, and occasional vocalist in the progressive bluegrass genre. Throughout the past 7 years strongly due to a transient 'sworn musician' lifestyle, he has flourished in the roles of songwriter, vocalist, mandolinist, guitarist, and bassist for several cross genre bands (Bluegrass, Progressive, Outlaw Country, Rock, Heavy Metal); opening for renowned national acts such as David Allan Coe, Pimps of Joytime, and Lonesome River Band.

After tirelessly touring for 5 years in various projects Dylan took a brief hiatus relocating to NJ and shortly after emerging as a solo artist in prominent clubs in NJ cities such as QXT's (NJ's #1 Alt. Night Club) of Newark as well as venues across the Northeastern United States. After spending time in the 'woodshed' Dylan entered the recording studio April 2017 with industry legend Producer and Engineer Tom "Bone" Edmonds (Tom Rundgren, Patti Smith, Isley Brothers) and accompanist Arti Funaro (Alice Cooper, Devlin7, Joe Cocker). The upcoming release of "Carrion" houses remnants of piedmont blues, classic rock, progressive bluegrass and adult contemporary music.
