About this concert
Therein has rounded up some of the most talented musicians on offer in Weightless In Orbit and Valtozash, to take over The Zoo on March 19 and bring you some of the best prog and experimental music Brisbane has to offer. It’s a wild ride through the last eight years of the Therein consciousness, but it’s definitely one that’s worth taking, and on March 19 they are inviting you along for the journey as they officially release Aramitama, the album they have worked on in pieces since 2015, in a live setting.Aramitama follows their debut album Nobelium and focuses on the path that the band have followed, from welcoming new members and farewelling old friends to recording tracks that have been in the works for years and producing new material that was written right up to the time of the final recording. Effectively Aramitama closes a door on the previous chapter of the life of the band and opens a new one to the future of Therein. The band believe that the name - Aramitama - represents the turbulent, rough, or even violent side of the spirit, and this fits with how turbulent the music can be across the album. It’s a name that resonates with them and their music, and coincidentally, the year that they ended up releasing the album.2020 has been one hell of a ride for everyone, so let’s get 2021 moving in style, and like Therein, look at opening new chapters and forging new paths for our futures.
