Strange Tail are a straight up, no-frills Hard Rock band from the East of England... Oozing with confidence and enthusiasm, this larger than life five-piece with an average age of just over 19 are quickly gaining a reputation as one of the loudest, most electrifying and memorable live acts on the scene today, despite the lack of years under their belts. Synonymous with the suggestiveness and glamour of British Rock in the 80’s, Strange Tail offer something for everyone. Mind meltingly catchy tunes, eye candy and gargantuan stage presence. Formed in early 2013, they've spent their first year lighting up stages across Norfolk and Suffolk, playing regularly at Norwich’s Waterfront, B2/ Brickmakers, and Epic Studios, as well as various other events around the area. With their first year’s success, 2014 promises to be the year that Strange Tail deliver their brand of ballsy, riff led Rock to the rest of England, the UK... and indeed the world. With an explosive level of energy, great sense of melody, and a visible love for what they’re doing, the spectacle of their show will almost distract you from the undeniable amount of instrumental prowess and song writing ability that the group has, as displayed on their Debut E.P: ‘Holdin’ Onto Something’ - which has gone down a storm and is still accumulating critical acclaim from fans and other bands alike: “Really liking Strange Tail. With copious amounts of musical influences from all eras of Rock and Metal that are instantly recognisable, you’ll wonder how you’d never heard of them before. Once you have, you won’t be able to escape the hooks and velocity that only a truly passionate and boisterous Rock n’ Roll band can offer! Career highlights for Strange Tail so far to date include... Supporting the likes of The Burning Crows and The Buster James Band within the first 6 months of forming, as well as top UK Tribute acts; Poizon, Jef Leppard, Bon Giovi and The Guns N’ Roses Experience. Playing own headline shows, around Norfolk & Suffolk. Performing at Brickfest, as well as The Oval Rockhouse Reunion, at Epic Studios, Sept 2013. Playing The Waterfront for Rock Monster and through Metallust Promotions/ KK Concerts, Oct, Nov & Dec 2013, with more (higher profile) shows pencilled in at the venue for 2014. Writing more original material in late 2013 and recording Debut 4 Track E.P. – ‘Holdin’ Onto Something’ (now available on iTunes & Spotify etc) with Lee Jacobs at Tides Reach Recording Studio, released 22nd Feb, 2014 at a Launch Party in a packed out Reefs Bar, Sea Palling, Norfolk. Upon the release of the E.P. greater opportunities came calling, including performing to a sold out (in advance) Waterfront (Studio), Norwich, on April 19th 2014, alongside The Guns N' Roses Experience. Strange Tail also opened for Falling Red (who previously toured w/ Steel Panther) at the venue on May 17th 2014, as well as a sold out show at The Brickmakers, Norwich the following weekend, supporting Bon Giovi. The band are also set to open for NWOBHM legends Tygers Of Pan Tang in Dec ‘14, along with further shows in support of The Dirty Youth, I DIVIDE and Electric Mary, all pencilled in for late 2014. The E.P. title track ‘Holdin’ Onto Something’ was sent (for free sample re-mix/ master) to L.A. based Grammy Nominated Producer, Brian Lanese of Permanent Ability in late May ‘14, after he expressed a keen interest in working with the band.
