Scott Nicholls Biography

Country presenter turned rising UK star Scott Nicholls celebrates new beginnings after broken marriage with debut single ‘On Fire’.

Scott Nicholls, rising star on the UK Country Music scene has been waiting for the perfect time to make a big impact.

Set to release the first of three studio releases, On Fire on January 18th, Scott’s emotive, honest songs about love lost come from hurt and personal experience.

Unlike most rising talents on the UK scene that discover Country music before looking to make the pilgrimage to Nashville, Scott discovered the craft whilst already settled and happily married on the other side of the pond.

“I was always playing music at home, and i’d played in bands when I was younger in the UK but never had written my own stuff. I had met a girl and started a family in the US, I was a bank manager, i’d just bought a house… and when it all fell apart, I came back to the UK to heal. For me, that was through country music.”

“All I had when I moved home were some clothes, my acoustic guitar and a library full of country songs on my phone and computer. I left with nothing but music!”

Devastated and heartbroken, Scott found an escape in music, initially finding comfort in country stars like Eric Church & Jason Isbell before putting pen to paper, writing about his own experiences as means of catharsis to express what he was going through.

“I can’t take, more heartbreak so I’ll hold onto your love” pines the country crooner in the first of three releases planned for the first quarter of 2020.

Establishing himself back in London, Scott’s love of Country led him to becoming a broadcast journalist and radio personality (UK Country News, Chris Country, Riverside Radio) whilst gigging four to five nights a week in dive bars across every corner of the capital and beyond, becoming a familiar, well loved face on the scene.

Scott’s short foray into country music has already seen him share the stage with the likes of Remember Monday, Royal South, Alt Country Star Sonia Leigh, Jack Walton (X Factor Finalist) and has played iconic venues such as The Bedford, The Water Rats, and London’s Hard Rock Cafe. His catchy hooks and heartfelt lyrics are not to be missed!
