Palaye Royale rocked the house! Small intimate venue. The boys gave us all plenty of time and attention during the meet & greet. The show itself was amazing. Remington, the lead singer came out into the crowd on numerous occasions and had the place jumping off, bouncing and singing along with every song. He even crowd surfed and was swinging from the rafters. Completely unexpected to see a band this popular at such a small venue. It was electric. The venue handled it well as far as the employees and security being helpful and friendly. My only complaint would be how hot it was inside the venue and I've been there twice before for sold out shows and this was never an issue in the past so I'm not sure what the problem was that night. Remington even mentioned how it was the first time he ever played a show in a sauna and how he couldn't stop sweating. He even had to step outside numerous times between songs to cool down. Regardless, this was still the best show I've ever been to at this venue. They also have free water at the bar for anyone who needs it. I recorded the entire show from up front and uploaded it on YouTube if anyone would like to see or re-live that night. I highly recommend seeing Palaye Royale live if you haven't and if you're in the Chicago area, I also recommend checking out the Cobra Lounge where you can see a reasonably priced show in a small intimate setting.

I cannot WAIT until they come back! Awesome crowd-work and the venue was great for a close-up experience (like… close enough to help Remington start crowd surfing and panicking because I lack upper body strength sort of close up!). They’ll have my money anytime they’re in town! They’ll have my money anytime they’re not in town too! (Note: this picture was not taken near the stage. I was in line too late to be that close. Instead, I stood near a railing at the edge of the pit like a lil wallflower content with my location. I was not prepared for any musicians to walk on said railing and then perform directly next to me. Even if you don’t think you have a good enough position in the crowd, you very well might. They work the room (especially the pit) like pros)

My first concert-esque experience when I was like, 15 years old. Couldn't attend the main show since I was underage, so myself and my friend at the time only attended the VIP acoustic. It was such a lovely experience. The boys were so sweet and it was very fun. Could hear the main show out in the hallway while we were waiting for our VIP set tho, and it was great. Myself, my friend and her mother were probably the only ones in the building back then who knew who Palaye Royale were. Grateful for this experience. :]

About Palaye Royale

Equal parts brit-pop, glam rock and art-punk, Palaye Royale has amassed over half a billion streams throughout their career and earned a legion of cult-like fans with their adrenaline-fueled, Rock n’ Roll circus. First landing in Los Angeles as teenagers, Las Vegas-bred brothers Remington Leith (vocals), Sebastian Danzig (guitar), and Emerson Barrett (drums) , worked their way up through the ruthless L.A.rock scene going from playing basement shows while living out of their car to headlining arenas around the world and touring with the likes of Yungblud. The band is readying their fourth full-lengthFeverDream, which emerged from a much-needed break in the chaos, returning to their roots and composing most of the album on piano. Equal parts ecstatic head rush and in-depth meditation on the state of the human psyche, the result is Palaye Royale’s boldest and most visionary body of work to date. With their fast-paced dirty rock n’ roll and unparalleled swagger, Palaye Royale have endlessly delivered an electrifying live show, one that frequently finds Remington hanging from the rafters. And whether they’re taking the stage at major festivals like Reading and Leeds, Download and Pinkpop or playing to sold-out crowds in such far-flung locales as Amsterdam, Prague and Mexico City, the band’s most crucial ambition is to deepen their rarefied connection with their beloved fanbase, lovingly dubbed the Soldiers of the Royal Council
