Straw Hat Riots could be described as Montana rock. Drawing on influences from country, funk, bluegrass, hard rock/metal, and indie folk, this band finds a way to connect to the whole audience. Their original music is both authentic and timeless, speaking to life’s struggles, joys, and mysteries. Every member of Straw Hat Riots brings their marked energy and unique style, creating an upbeat, unforgettable show. Winston Wolf Jr. (lead vocals and rhythm guitar) and Nicklaus Hamburg (lead guitar) have been bandmates since 2011, and rocked the Top Hat and the Wilma as teenagers with Comatose Smile. Now with Mike Hendy (bass) and Mathew Bainton (drums) the rhythm section infuses power and dynamics into emotionally charged songs.
