The Country Soul Sessions are delighted to invite you to an eclectic evening of Pop, Beat, Rock N Roll & Country Soul McCookerybook and Rotifer We are extremely proud that McCookerybook and Rotifer will be launching their brand new 6 track indie EP Equal Parts at the Country Soul. Original 'She Punk' and John Peel favourite Helen McCookerybook and Viennese pop luminary Mr Robert Rotifer have united to present to the world their Cosmopolitan cross-Channel Pop. A musical cocktail that incorporates dashes of pop, country, folk and retro soul. McCookerybook and Rotifer duet in both English and German and that lovely transition from the male to female vocal brings to mind the classic 1960s musical partnerships of Gainsbourg & Birkin and Sinatra & Hazelwood. The Keller-Tones We are delighted that The Keller-Tones will be making their Country Soul debut in December. A mysterious outfit for sure, but this is how we heard it A certain Mr Andy Ames was drifting helplessly with his beloved guitar over Hamburg in a hot air balloon, when his pickelhaube hat accidentally punctured it. Anticipating imminent disaster Andy threw his guitar, amp and himself overboard all coming down through the roof of a Moroccan honky tonk where Lynette Morgan was performing a belly dance and Gary Boller was whittling a sideways bass from a beer stained plank. In order to placate the infuriated proprietor the musical trio performed an impromptu set of Americana & British rock n roll. Thus The Keller-Tones were born. Come and see this dynamic trio with their amazing beat and rock n roll vibe. *Please note that in accordance with The Spice Of Life's safety guidance there will be no standing and unfortunately no dancing for the time being at the Country Soul. All tables will be 'socially distanced' for the safety and comfort of your group and it will be table service only during the evening. Be prepared to use hand sanitiser on arrival, and on leaving and returning to the room and to maintain social distancing where possible. Please wear facials coverings, masks or bandanas when not seated at your table we would very much appreciate it. We hope you can join us.
