Something Clever Biography
Something Clever is an active rock/metal band with an overall theme of endurance through hardship and finding one’s purpose. Founded in 2013, Something Clever has become a staple of the hard rock and alternative metal scene. Beginning with the band's first EP "Season of Darkness," subsequent full-length release "Season of Light," and dual-EP releases "Moments: Red" and "Moments: Blue," Something Clever has proven time and time again that their heavy riffs, addictive hooks, and enduring message is a force to be reckoned with.
The band has played on festivals like Carolina Rebellion, Blue Ridge Rock Festival, and has shared the stage with bands such as Lamb of God, All That Remains, Escape the Fate, Nonpoint, Red Sun Rising and Sick Puppies, and many more.
Over the past few years the band has put on many "butt to gut" headlining shows in Charlotte, at their "home base"; The Fillmore and The Fillmore Underground. Including their ComicCon inspired rock and metal show "CleverCon". Which features vendors, cosplay and more!
The band has been featured on Playstation’s Armored Warfare: Global Assault, entrance music for the Metro Boys on WWE NXT as well as television shows such as Black Ink Crew, Becoming, Forged in Fire, and more. Their hit song ‘Rise’ has become a fan favorite and currently has four million views on Crunchyroll’s promotional videos for Dragon Ball Z Super. ‘Rise’ was also recently featured on the commercial for Nickelodeons Rise of The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!
