Due to popular demand, Alyce is returning to Perth for a very special performance –she is partnering with The Painted Dog Conservation, with part proceeds from this event being donated to support their frontline conservation work in Africa.
Appearing with Alyce will be Dion Hirini, who has played with the likes of Vika And Linda, Debra Burns.

ALYCE PLATT beckons us into her ‘Funny Little World’. Following the successful launch of her stunning new album, 'a sophisticated and enchanting blend of melancholy pop and indie rock’
ALYCE and her amazing band, have been performing gigs in Melbourne and now Australia wide, as well as drawing the attention of some of the world’s most highly regarded musicians and artists.

FUNNY LITTLE WORLD – A pastiche of retro sounds, haunting melodies and frolicking beats. Of the 14 tracks, Alyce has penned 10 sultry originals revealing her fascination with 60’s European pop music underpinned with a depth and at times playful curiosity of the folly and heightened imaginings of life. In her own unique style, she has also reworked covers from some of her favorite artists including Velvet Underground’s “Pale Blue Eyes”, Linda Ronstadt’s “Different Drum", Verdelle Smith’s "Tar and Cement" and Jaques Brel’s “Amsterdam”.
"Amsterdam is a highlight for me. Jacques Brel songs are difficult to sing, his tragic, ironic, cinematic lyrics need a singer of the calibre of Scott Walker, David Bowie, Marianne Faithfull to do them justice. Alyce's version is right up there with those”

ABOUT ALYCE: Held in genuine affection by the public for her years on national television, and her acting career, Alyce is also highly regarded by her peers as a singer, songwriter and recording artist. She has collaborated and recorded with a diverse array of Australian producers and musicians. J. P. Shilo of the Hungry Ghosts produced and recorded her critically acclaimed album, BEAUTIFUL DEATH (2004).

ALYCE released the EP, COWBOYS IN THE ATTIC (2000) with Pete Farnan from Boom Crash Opera, which sparked international interest leading to gigs at the ‘Mink’ and ‘The Gig’ on Melrose in L.A.
