Ceiling Demons Biography

Ceiling Demons are an alternative hip hop group from Richmond, North Yorkshire, born out of bereavement and taking influence from acts like The Streets, Tricky and Serengeti. They seek to capture the rawness of the human emotion in their music & words. Headed up by twin brothers, Psy Ceiling & Dan Demon, they have garnered support from the likes of Tom Robinson and Rianne Thompson on national stations like BBC Radio 6 Music and Amazing Radio as well as from a variety of regional presenters from the local BBC Introducing programmes. The Demons are strong advocates of addressing mental health issues in their art and have worked extensively with the suicide prevention charity CALM, to raise awareness and funds for a cause close to their hearts. Championed by Louder Than War & NARC. Magazine for their passionate live performances, they released their latest album 'Nil' towards the back of 2017 via Win Big Records. As the Nil fire continues to burn, 2018 will see the release of the record on a limited run of vinyl via Darlington based DIY label, Butterfly Effect.

'With Nil descends a darkness, themes of male suicide, of loneliness, and lost hope prevail but with a sense of positivity that everything will and can be overcome.' 9/10 - Louder Than War

'Living and dying by their definition of the dark arts, this will greatly benefit your gramophone.' - Monolith Cocktail

'Devastatingly beautiful.' - Spotlight Music UK

'A totally unique sound, which is borderline masterpiece.' - For The Love of Bands

'An undeniably bracing listen.' - The Crack
