About this concert
The timeless love story of Romeo and Juliette is the backdrop to our annual Young People’s Concert in February. Artwork on this theme created by local students will be illuminated in our slideshow, while the PSO performs selections from Sergei Prokofiev’s groundbreaking score to the ballet. This is also our highly competitive Young Artists’ Competition. Three gifted young instrumentalists will perform alongside the PSO to compete for scholarship prizes! This season, we are delighted to announce that the scholarships will be doubled thanks to a generous grant from The Phillip A. Hughes Foundation.
