About this concert
Off the back of his most successful solo tour yet, selling over 30 thousand tickets for his 2019 UK dates, Steve Hackett has announced that his 2020/21 World Tour will feature the whole of the 1977 Genesis live album Seconds Out in full, plus More!
Seconds Out was the hugely successful double album recorded on Genesis' 1977 concert tour together with The Cinema Show, from their 1976 tour, and featured Steve Hackett on guitar alongside Mike Rutherford, Tony Banks and Phil Collins who had taken on the role of vocalist following the departure of Peter Gabriel. The tour included music from each of the six studio albums from Steve's time in Genesis and marked his final recordings with the band as he left to pursue his solo career upon its completion.
The Seconds Out + More! Tour will visit some of the venues Genesis played on that 1977 tour. There will also be additional material, including Steve's solo concert favourite The Steppes to celebrate the 40th birthday of his fourth solo album Defector.

I I thought the last time I saw Steve Hackett two years ago was the best concert ever at the goodyear. Somehow this one topped it and it was just an amazing show and I can see why he's had one of the best tours for the last 20 years.

Steve Hackett Biography
Steve Hackett was a member of Genesis from 1971 till 1977, when he left the band to pursue his solo career full time. He had released his first solo album, Voyage of the Acolyte, in 1975 while still with Genesis, and has maintained a steady output since. He is a distinctive and versatile guitarist who also performs classical concerts and has released five classical albums in addition to many rock, progressive, and blues albums. He participated in the 1986 formation of GTR with Steve Howe
His concerts feature many songs from his days with Genesis, among them Firth of Fifth, Hairless Heart, Blood on the Rooftops, Fly on a Windshield, Horizons and Los Endos, while exploring his extensive catalogue of solo recordings. Tours alternate between acoustic performances (often accompanied by Steve's brother John Hackett (flute) and Roger King (keyboards) as the Steve Hackett Acoustic Trio) and more rock-oriented performances.
