Jackson Pines Biography

Jackson Pines are a band of best friends grew up in the same hometown. Joe and James weave storysongs of love, fear, loss, and hope on the road of life using their stringed instruments. Billboard magazine compares them to "Tom Petty and James Taylor, with a serious emphasis on acoustic guitar". They've opened for Old Crow, Dr. Dog, The Avett Brothers, and more, and have played Sea Hear Now, Philly Folk Fest multiple times and headlined the NJ Folk Festival in 2023 after releasing their Aquarian ranked Album of the year "Pine Barrens Vol. 1". They are back on the road in 2024, on an international tour that will begin in NJ, before heading to NY, PA, Canada by May. A live performance of the 150 year old Pinelands folksong "Mt. Holly Jail" recently premiered on NPR music.
