Penn Masala

Penn Masala - the world’s first South Asian a cappella group - is a group of students at the University of Pennsylvania who take a fresh look at a cappella by blending the best of South Asian sounds with the latest from the Western music scenes.

We have 10 full-length studio albums: Yuva, Resonance, Kaavish, Panoramic, On Detours, Pehchaan, The Brown Album, Soundcheck, 11 PM, and Awaaz. We have also released an EP titled Vol. 1. Over the years we’ve been lucky enough to perform for President Obama at the White House, the IIFA and Star Screen Awards, Indian billionaire Lakshmi Mittal in London, and sold-out crowds in India that included Sachin Tendulkar & the Ambani family. With over 100+ performances at 50+ different universities, we also regularly tour across the U.S.
