Tanya Piche Blues Band Biography
Tanya Piché Blues Band performs the most original and authentic-sounding Blues you are likely to hear from a band this side of the Pond.
This band has enraptured their audiences, with their hard hitting and intense style, Tanya's blues belting powerful voice and stage presence with a theatrical twist are very unique and to a live audience, hugely entertaining. Expect a high energy sound and a stunning performance, which often induces dancing! The response on the local music/blues scene, to date has been incredibly positive for the band attracting a growing fan base. Tanya has acquired the nickname ‘Howlin Wolf Woman'.
Promoting their 1st studio album of original songs ‘Wolf Woman Blues’ (which is being aired regularly on Blues radio shows) TPBB also cover songs by Howlin Wolf, Elmore James, Willie Dixon, Canned Heat, Free, Stones, Doors, Koko Taylor, and include all the blues progressions.
Formed in May 2015, the band consists of the unique Wolf Woman herself, Tanya Piché (vocals/harp/songwriter); Matt Waller (bass/backing vocals); David Warne (guitar); and James Digings (drums).
