Sharp Shock Biography

Sharp/Shock is your new soundtrack to living in a modern world. Real, with an unwavering passion in a time of immeasurable doubt and uncertainty.

"Sharp/Shock" couldn’t be more of an accurate description of how this band came out of the gates and what they did with their explosive and refreshing first record ‘Unlearn Everything.’ This power-punk trio that started as a purely casual project rapidly picked up speed with their unique and instantly memorable songs laced with nostalgia and angst.

With early support and approval from legendary bands such as The Descendents, TSOL and The Jesus and Mary Chain, it wasn’t long before Sharp/Shock’s path was forged--their energy and passion was undeniable. After only a short year of touring (alongside Interrupters, Bronx, Culture Abuse, and Against Me!), the next chapter is looking to be the band's most exciting yet.

May 25th will see the highly anticipated release of their second record ‘Youth Club,’ which, like the first, is a powerful barrage of melody and malice. From the cutting reality and deeply analytical lyrics of "Nuclear Family,” to the abrasive and untreated honesty addressing repressive youth culture in "BAD LAD," Sharp/Shock are exactly what you would expect from musicians who were born and bred on The Jam, Stiff Little Fingers, and subculture staples, but they've still got plenty of surprises in store.

When you’ve had enough of the boring and bland, a Sharp/Shock is the dose you need to take.
