In 2017, July released her debut single, Jump in the Water which charted in the Top 10 in her native Slovenia, climbing to Number 1 the following week, thanks to a successful national radio campaign. The video for Jump in the Water was Premiered by Clash Magazine in the UK and gained over 30,000 organic views. This led to a double page feature in the 71st (June '17) edition of Notion Magazine, marking July as one to watch in 2017. Leading UK fashion retailer, Missguided, dubbed her an ‘all round mega babe’ in a recent interview and a new collaboration with fashion designers, MK Exclusive, saw a range of limited edition July Jones pieces arrive in Topshop in late '17, being sold in their flagship Oxford Street store in London. The follow up single, Bad Influence, was released in November 2017. That release drew a creative line in the sand for July as she traded soaring vocals and big choruses for a more measured approach to her songwriting, letting the song breathe, identifying the signature sound for this rising pop sensation.
