Casey Barnes Biography
Australian country rock artist Casey Barnes is roaring up quite a reputation in the country music scene. The Golden Guitar finalist had a solid start to 2018 when his current album, The Good Life debuted at #1 on the iTunes Country Album Chart and peaked at #2 on the Aria County Album Chart. Radio has embraced a number of cuts from the album including, The Way We Ride, Set Sail, Be Mine, and his previous single, Better Days. Lead single, Ain’t Coming Home also enjoyed consecutive weeks at #1 on the Country Tracks Top 40 chart.
Opening the gates of 2019 with a national tour, Casey’s impressive live performances also earned him a slot supporting The Davisson Brothers and then taking out Groundwater Country Music Festival’s inaugural public voted 'People’s Choice Award'. Casey smashed the competition, receiving double the votes to 2nd place. His latest release, Better Days, was the #1 Most Downloaded to radio, kicking P!NK off the top and currently has over 1.4 Million streams.
His latest nominations such as Independent Country Music Australia’s 'Most Popular Male Artist' (Winner), Finalist in the Gold Coast Music Awards for ‘Song of the year’, ‘Album of the year’, ‘Artist of the year’, ‘Live Act of the Year’ and most recently 2019 APRA Professional Development Awards finalist, have placed Casey alongside some of Australia’s top artists.
Casey’s recently released brand new single ‘A Little More’, debuted at #3 on iTunes Country charts, and hit major Spotify playlists Fresh Country, New Music Friday AU&NZ, and New Music Nashville. The single was welcomed by radio, as #1 Play MPE Most downloaded and added across the board to KIX, 98.9, Gold FM and Triple M Country. Casey has just been announced to perform among a premiere line-up at CMC Rocks, Australias largest international country and roots music festival in the southern hemisphere.
