About this concert
We are still presenting Raul Malo at the club on 10/6, but due to current CDC guidelines, our capacity has been reduced from 500 to 200 people. Since we have already sold well over 200 tickets for this event, we have added a second night on October 7. ALL tickets for October 6 (and 3/25, 7/13) will be REFUNDED, and both Oct. 6 & 7 shows will go on-sale this Friday, Sept. 4 at 12Noon through Ticketmaster. 10/6 Raul Malo tickets will automatically be refunded by Ticketmaster, if you purchased online. If you purchased tickets in person at our Box Office, you will need to come back to the Box Office for a refund/exchange (open from 5-9pm any night we have a show). - The Birchmere

Raul Malo has been an amazing musician and singer for so long, both on his own and front man of the Mavericks. He's one of my very favorite singers. To hear him give a stripped down acoustic performance was amazing. Seth Walker was his opener and his great in his own right. Raul brought his son to play a soft drum for the second half of the show as well as Seth for the last couple songs. So much fun! The Music Box Supper Club is a great venue for smaller shows like this one. Easy parking, food and drinks are good and wait staff work hard to keep patrons happy. Hope Raul comes back soon!

Raul Malo Biography
RAUL MALO is the incomparable frontman of genre-defying, GRAMMY Award-winning band The Mavericks, and the sole writer of many of their songs. His free-wheeling, swaggering style seamlessly blends neotraditional country, rock ’n roll, and Latin rhythmic fervor, and prominently features his lush, soaring baritone. His compositional craftsmanship includes penning progressive and timeless hits like “Here Comes the Rain,” “What A Crying Shame”, “Dance The Night Away”, “Back In Your Arms Again”, and “All You Ever Do Is Bring Me Down.” From his earliest days, when his raucous sound broke ground at the punk clubs on Miami Beach nearly three decades ago, to now fronting The Mavericks on their 30th Anniversary World Tour, Malo has demonstrated an unfailing skill for getting people to groove.
