About Eastbound

Lets paint a picture: not glossy nor slick, but rather filled with countless jagged edges and scored with swirling contradictory lines leading the observer north, south, east, west and everywhere in between. So has been the Eastbound evolution as they pull up to the edge of a place called right now. In truth, however, Eastbounds history is steeped in a place where much mythology begins, amongst two best friends in the garden state, who knew early on in; beyond any ability to strum a chord or strike a beat that their friendship would grow out of a love for music. This may seem relatively unimportant in regards to where the band is today, but their is nothing more meaningful to the story then that simple fact. Out of these naive origins evolved a band that rather then strive to create music that sounds like everything else, has played the music they themselves love, and continue to have the time of their lives doing it. As many bands being born out of the Jersey scene attempt to rid themselves of labels and genres, Eastbound does nearly the opposite. The band contains an appreciation for the music that is around them. They were around for the early beginnings of bands like Midtown, Armor For Sleep, and Steel Train. For that reason, the bands who have continued to inspire them since a young age can most certainly be found in the sound that after adding their own ingredients, becomes solely their own. Eastbound recently completed their first 5 song EP with John Naclerio of Nada Studios. The music can best be described as simple and catchy pop-rock that most anyone can appreciate. As the word slowly sweeps through NJ, it is only a matter of time before Eastbound is a household name. Beyond that, they are a group of best friends that love nothing more than booking endless amounts of shows and rocking out. It becomes plain to see that their music stems from the genuine source of a life-long friendship and a deep respect for everyone and everything that has preceded them. More than anything in the world, Eastbound wants the simple chance to prove themselves as a band that anyone can fall in love with.
