Rickie Lee Jones was great!! She played guitar and piano and was accompanied by her percussionist. She related well with the audience and played for 2 hours without an intermission. Rickie Lee is just the best!!!

Just fantastic. Rickie can still hit all of the notes. She spends a lot of time chatting and bantering, making wry remarks. Great said list, which she clearly was deciding somewhat on the fly. Her percussionist whose name I cannot remember, is also fantastic. Full percussion set and vibraphone. Rickie did a bunch of songs with her acoustic guitar and several beautiful renditions on the piano.
At one point someone in the audience reminded her that the day of this show was the 45th anniversary of the day her first record dropped. She clearly had not really known that. It took her a full 30 seconds to recover because she was so struck with emotion. It was so sweet. Just a good person making great music.
FYI The Tarkington in Indianapolis is a nice little 500 seat venue with an attached, free (!) parking garage with elevator access to the venue itself.

Perfect venue. Ricky Lee was a personable storyteller and she still has that voice that made her famous. The only issue was she didn’t play We Belong Together, so I cried, but seriously it was a great show.
