Eagle Eye Jones Biography
Eagle Eye Jones was born as naturally as a band can be. The two front men Luke Saunders and Toby Jones met after a Black Sabbath concert and proceeded to write their entire early catalogue on acoustic guitars and a love of blues. When close friends Jason Styles and Dylan Goodearl entered the picture the moniker Eagle Eye Jones was coined and they launched into the Sydney live scene, slowly growing a loyal fan base and building towards greater things. Classically trained pianist and composer turned synth extraordinaire Jamin Lee Bennett joined at the start of 2019 and the band have been hurtling towards some distant sound ever since, fervently writing, rehearsing, re-writing and creating. With five writers and equal collaboration this is truly a band without a lead.
The past four years have proved fruitful with their back catalogue amassing over 1 million streams, the outfit have landed gigs supporting Ocean Alley, Lime Cordiale, CLEWS, Stonefield and festival slots at Lost Paradise, A Day For The Beaches, The Gumball and Melbourne Music Week. In 2020 despite COVID-19 they managed to sell out 13 East Coast shows at The Lansdowne, The Vanguard, The Boatshed & La La La’s. 2021 is set to be a big one for Eagle Eye Jones with plenty of new music on the way.
