Tyler Resch Biography
Fueled by a burning passion that’s been doused in gasoline for good measure, country-rocker Tyler Resch is as authentic as they come. For Tyler, the heart and soul of his music is rooted in the authenticity of good ol’ country, and is echoed through his usage of its bona fide instruments that forged its timeless sound. While the quintessential sound of the pedal and lap steel guitars mark the core of his sonic palette, Tyler’s music also lies at the intersection of rock 'n' roll and Americana. The result is a sound he cites as being “hard, driving country music tailor-made for hard working, blue collar people”. Thematically, his songs explore the scope of human emotion, ranging from “tear your heart out” ballads, to numbers that make you want to hit the dance floor.
The singer’s debut EP titled ‘Highways & Honkytonks’ premiered in 2018, and was produced by Byron Hill at Benchmark Sound in Nashville, Tennessee. The EP garnered significant success, with notable media mentions from Music Row Magazine, who quoted the EP as “so wonderfully catchy that you want to dance around the room while it spins”. Additionally, Country Music People Magazine rated the EP highly, appraising it with a rating of 4 out of 5 stars.
He is currently back in the studio working on his sophomore release, another collection of songs to debut in 2020. Armed with a guitar handed down by his grandfather, and a pair of scuffed up Red Wing boots, Tyler continues to pour his soul into his brand of country rock, while reflecting on and celebrating the stories of the working men and women of America.
