The modern era of music has given way to enigmas and artists of all shapes and forms who break the norm of what we have come to expect as far as what an artist truly is. Cold Shoulder is one such band that epitomizes the essence of the modern era. A multi-talented Rock Band based in San Francisco. Cold Shoulder is making music that is thoughtful, conscious and driven by a desire to motivate, inspire, comfort and spread love and joy to all those that hear it.
Cold Shoulder is comprised of 4 amazing musicians namely Jacob Baptista (drums), Joe Faria (guitar), Jason Kinney (Bass) and Marcus Dylan (Vocals) who met through a craigslist ad. Little did they know that this fortuitous crossing of paths was the genesis of a great musical journey. They hit it off instantly and developed a style of songwriting and rock that is transparent, daring and reflective of the experiences of the Band.
The band has had a vast array of musical influences however they accredit the pivotal influences and inspiration in their music to Alice in Chains, Dirty Honey and Badflower. This all culminates in Cold Shoulder producing a musical experience that is enjoyable, easy going and fun but still seeks to provoke thought and Cold Shoulder uses their music as a vehicle to express their perspectives and tell stories. Their overarching ambition is to bring back the raw, visceral Rock and Grunge music they grew up listening to.
Cold Shoulder has 3 Singles in their repertoire namely Don't Call Me, Know Your Enemy and Faithless. The band will be releasing the lead single dubbed “Be Patient” from their much anticipated self-titled debut EP. Their music will showcase their lyricism in a uniquely constructed piece of musical artistry. The sound exhibits not only their versatility and prowess but will surely pave the way for the varied expressions of their musical ideas and artistic craft. This is the music that will push the boundaries of our perception as well as inspire and drive us to introspective conversations.
