Aisling Iris - The eclectic singer songwriter has had a varied career to date seeing her released music play-listed on Jazz FM, BBC Radio 2 and working with revered electronic jazz keyboardist Kaidi Tatham, touring with UK Hip Hop star Roots Manuva and supporting Jazz legend Marcus Miller live. Derrick Mckenzie of Jamiroquai has called her very inspirational to work with as a songwriter and vocalist.
For this special night Aisling Iris showcases an eclectic mix of songs segueing effortlessly between Jazz, Soul, Latin, Funk and RnB backed by a spectacular and seasoned band of musicians including Omar's right hand man, Soul artist and multi-instrumentalist Lex Cameron on piano, Grace Jones and Mark Ronson's drummer and multi-instrumentalist Andrew Mclean and Naples born singer and bass player Marta Riccardi.
The band have a powerful chemistry on stage which they showcase with a playful and funky style. Expect impromptu vibes, audience participation, infectious grooves and musical prowess a plenty. Not to be missed.

Aisling Iris Biography
isling (pronounced Ashling) means dream or vision in Gaelic.
It’s also the birth name of this particular Irish, song writing vocalist living in London.
Born to a jazz-singing, piano-playing mother from the wilds of rural Co Cork, she set off for London in her late teens.
It was working at Universal Music that she met Tony Swain,
Head of A&R at the time and a successful pop producer having produced hit singles for eighties icons like Spandau Ballet, Imagination, Alison Moyet and Michael McDonald.
She signed to his production company and together they collaborated on an album’s worth of material together, including “Is it Over” which can be found on Aisling’s self-released E.P. “You Took The Sun Away”
Currently she fronts three projects.
Her own band which features the music from her just released debut album "Night time Moves" produced by Drew Horley (Ty, Natalie Williams) and co-written with Andrew Mclean and Phil Craig which has since been play listed on Jazz FM, Mi-Soul, Delite and Solar radio and featured by Jamie Cullum as BBC Introducing Artist on his BBC Radio 2 show
'Passing Clouds’ an uplifting jazz soul track from the album is a collaboration with UK soul royalty Andrew Mclean (multi instrumentalist and drummer with the Grace Jones band) has proven a firm favourite with stations such as Jazz FM, Mi-Soul and Delite radio, earning her praise from Acid Jazz heavyweights; Simon Bartholomew of The Brand New heavies mentioned Aisling as “one to watch” during an interview for Craig Charles Funk & Soul show on BBC Radio 6, while drummer Derrick Mckenzie of Jamiroquai has called her “very inspirational” to work with as a songwriter and vocalist.
Jazz Quartet "Neon Villages" who's highlight's include supporting Jazz legend Marcus Miller on his Afrodeezia tour, along with performances at the Cheltenham Jazz festival and St Ives Jazz club and more.
"Monk" the Final frontier Quintet ( a vocal tribute to the music of Thelonious Monk) who received rave reviews for their performance at the Birmingham Jazz festival, The 606 club and The Crypt jazz club.
Her eclectic talents have seen her touring as support to Roots Manuva, working with such artists as Phil Asher, Ian Friday and Domu, supporting UK legends Omar, the late Lynden David Hall and Eska Mtungwazi.
Another string to her bow is her cowrites for other artists.
She co-wrote the top five r&b pop hit “I’m a Man” for Japans answer to Take That, the boy band "W-inds" and Jazz ballad “Used to Be” for Sony artist Timothy James during songwriting retreats In Gothenburg Sweden with Phrased differently (EMI)
