CLANN KELLY IRISH DANCERS What is one of the most asked questions about our McGonigel's Mucky Duck St. Patrick's Day Celebration....when are the dancers going to be here? Soon! As always, a highlight of the day. Clann Kelly, an Irish dancing school established in 2016, is registered with An Coimisium le Rinci Gaelacha, The Irish Dancing Commission, in Dublin, Ireland. Under the tutelage of Anna Kelly the Kelly School dancers will put you in the spirit of the day. CLANDESTINE Clandestine is hard-driving, toe-tapping Texas Celtic sound. Clandestine is known for their brand of blasting tune sets and fresh songs. Piper EJ Jones and fiddler Gregory McQueen lead the tunes with the full force of their individual musical energies. Al Cofrin brings cittern and occasionally another set of bagpipes to the mix. Percussionist and singer Emily Dugas captivates with her original song collaborations with Al, as well as her singular interpretations of songs in the Celtic genre. EJ and Al also join Emily on vocals, with many songs now set in three-part harmony. ULLA Úlla came together organically via shared connections in the Austin music scene. All full-time musicians, Úlla is comprised of a bunch of Irish expats joined by several trad-Irish music fans to form a collective that share and celebrate a mutual love of Irish musical heritage. Pat Byrne (vocals and guitar), from Borris, County Carlow moved to Austin to work on writing and form a band to play his original music. Andrea Magee, of Austin staple Beat Root Revival (vocals, bodhran, whistle), from Belfast, County Antrim, grew up singing in a family band, learning traditional songs from her father and sisters as a teen. Stephen Carolan (vocals, guitar) moved to Austin with Pat to play guitar in his band. In his hometown of Drogheda, County Louth, Stephen honed his unique electric guitar style in a band with his brothers. The Carolan Brothers were much-loved in the Louth music scene. Now Stephen brings his creative talents to traditional songs and tunes with Úlla. Rich Brotherton (vocals, guitar, cittern), grew up playing music in Augusta, Georgia. After college he spent two summers in Doolin, County Clare, soaking up traditional reels, jigs and songs. He later moved to Texas and toured for years with the Robert Earl Keen band. Rich now works as the proprietor of Ace Recording, a cosy, well-appointed studio in south Austin. Kris Wade (bass, vocals), from Houston, Texas, has played every style of music the Austin scene offers -- from swing (Emily Gimble/Marshall Ford Swing Band) to blues (Guy Forsyth) to pop (Pat Byrne) to funky-tonk(Doug Strahan and the Good Neighbors), and now Irish folk with Úlla, Kris has the bottom end covered with style and taste. WYNDNWYRE Wyndnwyre is a 4 piece ensemble that performs traditional instrumental and vocal music from the Celtic countries of Ireland, Scotland and Wales Jigs, reels, waltzes, hornpipes and slow airs all performed on traditional instruments will raise your spirits and calm your nerves. FRANCES CUNNINGHAM Every pub has its regulars, but some of them are a little more regular than others. Frances Cunningham started off playing twenty years ago as a regular Irish Session player every Wednesday night at the Duck. We were all sad to see her move to Nashville, but the road was calling. Not long after moving to Nashville, Frances became a "regular" once again. This time at the Grand Ole Opry. However, there's nothing "regular" about her playing! You will recognize her extraordinary talent the moment she picks up her Irish bouzouki. Frances was the winner of the Midwest Fleadh for banjo. PAT BYRNE Pat Byrne, an Irish singer songwriter crowned the winner of the "The Voice-Ireland" comes to us from County Carlow, Ireland. Pat's voice strikes an emotional chord with his audience; ranging from seductive whisper one moment, to full-bodied rock 'n' roll growl the next. His latest work reflects both his Irish roots and the rich influence of the musicians he’s recently worked with in Texas. “A great voice, a true talent, and a righteous guy, Pat is one of the very best I’ve worked with in a long time.” — Rich Brotherton - guitarist and producer, Ace Recording & Robert Earl Keen MARTIN BURNISTON'S IRISH SINGALONG Martin Burniston, a Minister of Entertainment for the Kerr County Celtic Association, ensures that he'll bring plenty of craic to the party. Martin will have you singing along to Molly Malone in no time. Master of Ceremonies - JIM MACKENZIE Sword swallowing, unicycle riding, comedian with mad skills, Mr. Jim MacKenzie, will keep you entertained during set changes.

Clandestine Biography
Clandestine is a Celtic music group from Houston, Texas. Featuring bagpipes, guitar, fiddle, and drums (bodhrán and conga drums), they play traditional Celtic music (both instrumental and vocal) as well as some modern tunes (including some originals). Some songs include additional instruments like flute, bombarde and various whistles. They formed in 1991, stabilized as a quartet in 1996, and dissolved for a time in 2003. Original members included Emily Dugas, Jen Hamel, E.J. Jones, and Gregory McQueen. In their original incarnation, the band made 4 discs and toured heavily around the US and also performed in Europe. They were favorites at McGonigel's Mucky Duck Pub in their hometown of Houston, as well as the Cactus Cafe in nearby Austin. The band was reformed in 2006 with Al Cofrin (also of Istanpitta).
