Jimmy Haggard Biography

Jimmy Haggard is an internationally acclaimed guitarist, singer and songwriter. Loving all music, Jimmy's music is a mashup of everything he has listened to and experienced in life. When asked what type of music he plays, Jimmy's answer is always the same, "It's all Blues to me."

The Jimmy Haggard Band has a large, selective arsenal of music, from blues and rock n roll, to blues-rock and classic rock, to southern soul and roots.

Jimmy is originally from Silverton Oregon. He has traveled around the United States' West Coast and Midwest, lived in Los Angeles California for over 20 years, landed in Raleigh North Carolina for 10 years (where he started a recording and rehearsal studio that he sold before moving back to the USA west coast) and finally settled in Eugene Oregon, playing in honky tonks, clubs, bars, roadhouses, grange halls, performance halls and festivals along the way.

Jimmy has played in a few bands during his travels: In Transit, Dirt Road, Sweet Rat, Power, Dreamers, Mister B, Rush Street, Hot Bones, The BlueShades, Outlaw Shine, Jesse Boden Band and in his own music projects.

Jimmy has released five albums (Hot Summer Day, Live At The Aviator, Deep South Alive, Rough ‘n’ Ready, Warm Me Up) and four singles (Two Steps, Yu Ready, Warm Me Up, Mojo Hand).

Chris Kliemann plays keyboards. Chris relocated from the Seattle Washington area where he performed with the CD Woodbury Band and, Tim Casey and the Bluescats, and received a BB Award for Best Blues Keyboards. While Chris's forte is piano (blues, honky-tonk and rock n roll), he makes an electric piano sing and an organ smoke.

Doug Outt is on the bass. Originally haling from the Los Angeles area, Doug played major rock clubs in the LA area. Somewhere along the way, Doug relocated to the Eugene Oregon area and has never looked back. While Doug's main bass is a fretless instrument, he is accomplished on a five string fretted bass too.

The drummer in the band is Martin P. Buckson. Martin was born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. He relocated to South Carolina in 1983. While based out of South Carolina, Martin worked with several bands touring the East Coast, performing in bars, venues and festivals. In 2004, Martin moved to Oregon where he continued to perform in bars and casinos. Influences; John Bonham, Neil Peart, Alex Van Halen and Ian Paice, and too many more to list!
