The Electric Church Biography
"the Electric Church" is a 3 piece that play original music written by Baron Franco (lead vocals and guitar) and flavoured by Bassist - Jesse Ingram and Drummer Paul Fiddes, in the style of "New Blues based Alternative Rock". It'll take you on a trip and journey to a new plain of music and thought and bring you back with "new learning's and a changed perspective". The lyrics speak to you with a resonating internal dialogue, leaving you with, "I've been there", "I've felt that", "I've done that too". Powerful 'hooking' riffs, rising crescendo's, plummeting falls and sense filling rhythms that make it difficult to believe all this can come from 3 musicians. Blues being the basis of which this new universe is created, maintaining the tradition, but "taking it somewhere new" to explore its parameters. New / old love, the road travelled, and the shadow man, some of the lyrical features of Baron's writings, drawing from cultural beliefs and grounding them in modern times. Songs like “Daddy’s Gotta Roll” take you back in time to the possibility of a 70’s New York scene of a struggling family dealing with a gambling addicted father. Wah wah guitar, smooth grooving bass lines and a rim-shot drum add to this trip to the 70’s sound. Elements of Hard Funk are also part of the Electric Church’s musical offerings while still maintaining the synergy between Blues and Rock. Based in Melbourne Victoria AU, they are at the ‘event horizon’ point of their explosion into the colourful landscape of Melbourne’s live music scene. One will not regret a listen or the personal experience of seeing them live. An experience indeed. Blues based Alternative Rock original 3 piece with drive and hard funk.
