Ma'anish Biography
Ma'anish is a 4-piece metal band from Israel.
Ma'anish was founded in 2011 by Barak Paryente,
Meitar Elazari and Shaul Eflal in the northern
parts of Israel.
Along with first vocalist Ari Cohen, they began
working on their debut album "Under The Fig Tree",
a genre clusterfuck that combined Death Metal, Funk,
Jazz and even Grunge, creating an album full of
ever-changing riffs, drum fills,
and vocals alternating between "Clean" to "Fuckin'
Nasty", not for musical rookies.
"Under The Fig Tree" was released on 2015, to
critical acclaim.
Ma'anish toured Israel, performing everywhere from
big clubs in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem to the local
bars of Kibbutzim and Haifa punk squats.
After the release of UTFT, Shaul became terminally ill,
and was replaced by bassists Niv Zelser and
Avishay Farkash and perfromed several times.
Vocalist Ari Cohen left the band and the country in
order to pursue different dreams and was replaced
by new vocalist, Dor Rosenthal on 2016.
on 2017 Avishay Farkash became a permenant member
of The Ma'anish line up.
Ma'anish are currently working on their sophomore
album, titled "Heal".
Since July 2018 Ma'anish are performing non-stop in
Israel, playing old and new materials.
Our first bass player and founding member,
Shaul Eflal passed away in 19th of November 2016
Ma'anish is his memorial.
Love.
