Caitlin Koch Biography
Caitlin Koch ("cook") is a singer/songwriter best known as the singing Rugby coach on The X Factor USA Season 1. Caitlin traveled to Dallas, TX to audition where she melted the hearts of Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, Nicole Scherzinger, & LA Reid with her soulful ballad rendition of "Stop In The Name Of Love" by The Supremes. She went on to compete through "Boot Camp Week" in Los Angeles, CA and on to the "Judges' Homes" round where she performed "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow" by Carole King for Simon Cowell in France. After the show, Caitlin toured the U.S. performing under Paula Abdul's management. After years touring, Caitlin moved to Nashville, TN to focus on songwriting. Her first EP, "I Am Caitlin" (2016), was recorded at Creampuff Studios in East Nashville, TN to 2" analogue tape and includes 4 original songs ("Run To The River", "Safe Bet", "In My Head", & "Welcome Back"); plus, a unique take on Dolly Parton's "Jolene". Caitlin toured internationally in 2017 & 2018 to promote the record. She came home to Nashville to co-write. Youtube versions of "Simple Man" (Lynyrd Skynyrd) & "Creep" (Radiohead) went viral in 2020 during the pandemic; making Caitlin a household name once more. She is now releasing a resurrected yet modern Retro Soul sound with the Muscle Shoals vibe this year 2021. Find new releases on Spotify, Apple ITunes, Pandora, Youtube, & more
