Maddy Braun Biography

Maddy Braun is a singer/songwriter and Nashville recording artist. At age seventeen, she is already establishing herself as a serious writer and performer, attracting much attention from some of the highly respected musicians, songwriters, and industry heavyweights in Music City.
Maddy began her musical journey in her home state of Minnesota when she was just two years old, singing the classics she learned from her father's music collection. And only a few years later, she began piano lessons. She continued fostering her musicianship with formal training in her school's jazz, pep, concert, and marching bands as well as choir. But it wasn't until the age of thirteen that Maddy started seeing music as a professional career opportunity.
In the spring of 2017, Maddy started writing her own music. At that time, she had just begun gigging, signing up at open mic nights and sitting in with local hometown bands (including singer and radio personality, Kelly Cordes). But she had not yet written a song or recorded. All of that changed when she was invited her to her very first writing session. Surprisingly, Maddy's lyrical style was naturally Adult Contemporary. And when asked if she'd like to keep the content PG-13, she thought and replied, "I refuse to censor myself." From this watershed moment, the song "Dream of Me Tonight" was conceived and recording commenced promptly. They committed themselves to a small, minimally equipped studio, writing, recording demos, and honing Maddy's skills.
Maddy found herself just one year later in Studio A at the legendary Ocean Way recording studio on Music Row, making music with some of the world's top session players: Peter Keys (Lynyrd Skynyrd), Jack Pearson (Allman Brothers), Jeff Coffin (Dave Matthews Band), John Santos (Santana), Pat Bergeson (Chet Atkins), Derek Pell (Ray Price), Elijah 'DD' Holt (Music Mafia), Jerry Navarro (Music Mafia), and world-renowned performing artist Damien Horne. These A-list players and performers quickly developed a genuine respect for Maddy as a serious artist. With some of these same musicians backing her, she took her music to the stage just days later for a high-energy debut show on BB King's main stage. There is now no doubt that Maddy Braun is not just another teenager trying to sing; she is the genuine article…and has no problem hanging with the 'big dogs.'
Maddy and her manager/father, Bill Braun (a.k.a. 'The Colonel'), expect to continue their musical pursuit for many years to come. Relying on her father's business prowess and her burgeoning talent, they are confident that Maddy Braun will enjoy a long successful career as an artist and one day earn a place in music history.
