About this concert
Sat Feb 15: Y Axes, KAT van Morgan, A Farewell Device (Power Pop/Soul/Rock) - $5 The Y Axes are a San Francisco-based indie outfit who play a unique blend of dreamy, synth-glossed pop and rhythmically muscular rock. Having initially formed as a recording project by vocalist Alexi Rose Belchere and guitarist Devin Nelson, the duo decided to take on the project full time after premiering a set of songs at their space and prom-themed joint birthday party in July 2011. Their lineup completed by bassist Jack Sundquist and drummer Paul Conroy, The Y Axes collaborate to create energetic and hard-hitting pop with intricate instrumentation's and ethereal vocal melodies that can stick in your mind for weeks. KAT van Morgan are a Bay Area band formed in February 2019. They play country, pop, rock, and R&B, with jazz and soul influences. Their debut EP is out now and they are currently working on an album to be released in summer 2020. Justin Vanegas / A Farewell Device is the brainchild of Bay Area bassist/songwriter Justin Vanegas. Combining elements of pop-punk, classic rock and musical theater with a somewhat dark sense of humor, AFD operates under the mantra that every show, be it with full rock band or just solo acoustic, should be entertaining, memorable, honest and, above all, fun.
