SnowMoon Biography
The band, which was formed in the summer of 2014, came together
when vocalist Jessie Allen put out a last minute call for a drummer. The
goal was to complete a long awaited project her and bassist Andy
Rodriguez had been writing songs for since their friendship began over
a decade ago. The first audition ended in musical magic when Noel
Hernandez showed up to fill the role behind the kit, after never being in
the same room together, three songs were carved out by the group in a
single hour…and the trio was born.
SNOWMOON has been busy since their formation, playing over 50
shows in their first year, including some of South Florida’s most well
known haunts: Churchills, The Funky Buddha, and The Social Lubricant. Recognizing a common need for unity in the local scene,
the band also became founding members of the prestigious collective
SOUNDWALL. The organization seeks to bring together the musical,
business, and technological talents of artists, forming a community that is "by musicians, for musicians."
The band’s first single, CAKE, was recorded in seclusion at Sessions
Studio in Florida’s majestic Key West, mixed by Antonio Olivera
and mastered by GRAMMY Award-winning mastering engineer
Mike Fuller (Judas Priest, The Eagles, Rick Ross, Criteria Studios). The
video for the song, which will debut in early October, was filmed by famed and award winning Miami video mastermind JULIAN YURI (MTV’S No Seasons, C#ockfight).
“Our goal is to elevate South Florida into the same scene you hear
stories about from the west coast. Band’s like Poison The Well and New
Found Glory have made a name for South Florida, we want to be the
band that people add to that list next”. – SNOWMOON
