About White Lie

♦♦ WHITE LIE 1981-83♦♦ The premier original melodic hard rock quartet from Southern California, with Kevin Reye being the principle songwriter & business element. Straight forward unique original hard driving rock & roll and heavy metal tunes with the subtle flavor of UFO, Rainbow, Van Halen, Dokken, Scorpions, Michael Schenker, Y&T, Dio, KISS, & Nugent blended in… White Lie, played frequently in the early 80's with the likes of Motley Crue, Ratt, Poison, Great White and many others during the rise of the Hard Rock & Metal scene in L.A. and O.C. The name was changed from TRIXX to WHITE LIE in 1982 and featured Rick Chavez on vocals, Kevin Reyes on Guitar, Brent Walsh on Drums, Eric Higley on keyboards, and Jeff Miller was added on Bass to replace Ed Musky in late '83/early '83.The band played in southern California and achieved quite a following with their melodic songs and driving rhythms. Referred to as a musicians band by many due to their professional musical training and live performances, they always had members from larger acts coming to see their shows. WHITE LIE disbanded in 1983 while in the studio recording material for their first album. Kevin Reyes also played with Chain Reaction, Eclipse, Zodiac, Diamond Dust, TRIIX, Black Sheep, and Martial Law before joining Michael Bolton's band replacing Bruce Kulick who left to join KISS. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ga_reU5lasQ (Kevin w/Bolton "Everybody's Crazy" video) Kevin continued to play over the years touring and recording and after Bolton played with Network, Power Squadron, Fortress, and Boxcar. Kevin also has a solo effort called The Monster Project. ♦♦ WHITE LIE 2010-14 ♦♦ Shortly after the new year in 2010 a strong interest for White Lie developed and they were booked as direct support to play with legendary Y&T at The Coach House in May 2010. This was the reunion show for White Lie. WHITE LIE continues to be in demand and requested to play shows with acts like Y&T, Dokken, Quiet Riot, Alcatrazz, Hurricance, UFO, Great White, Michael Schenker, Warrant, Keel, Stryper, Uli Jon Roth, Frankie Hannon Band, DC4, and many others. As the great RJD said it so well - "Long Live Rock and Roll!" The Original recipe, classic taste, you'll feel good when you have some!!
