Imani Winds

Now celebrating their 20th anniversary, the Grammy-nominated quintet Imani Winds heralds diversity in all its forms, but especially musically -- their repertoire ranges from classical to Latin to jazz to cutting-edge new music. In fact, this performance at the Hammer is set to include a composition by violinist-composer Jessie Montgomery, inspired by her great-grandfather’s migration from the American South to the North.
