About this concert
After releasing their standout debut single ‘Cut Your Teeth’, and critically acclaimed second single ‘Back To Back’ – produced by Stevie Knight (Yours Truly, Stand Atlantic, Between You & Me), Waxflower are back again with their emotive new single ‘Together’. Having spent the best part of 2019 touring with the likes of Sly Withers, Between You & Me, & The Dead Love, as well as local and interstate supports with The Maine & Stand Atlantic, the band is looking to send off 2019 with a bang, announcing their signing to Australian booking agency Select Music and supporting iconic US giants Simple Plan. Waxflower burst into the new year with headline shows of their own, bringing their emotive and nostalgic rock to Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. Guided by the contagious melodies of Kisschasy, the soaring soundscapes of Jimmy Eat World and the sincerity of Slowly Slowly, Waxflower endeavors to bring a genuine and unique perspective on alternative rock.

Fresh from releasing a trio of standout singles that saw them conquer their debut headline shows in February, including a sold-out hometown performance, Waxflower signed on with European label Rude Records (Saves The Day, Gideon, Blood Youth, Sleep On It) in 2020.

Their debut label release 'Sixteen Floors’ clocked up support from international heavyweights Kerrang! and Rock Sound, as well as being named the ‘Next Big Thing’ by HMV.

Waxflower have grown an impressive resume of supports for such a young band, having toured and shared stages with the likes of Simple Plan, The Dangerous Summer, The Maine, Stand Atlantic, Between You & Me & more.

Whilst the band have halted touring plans, they jumped back into the studio with Stevie Knight (Stand Atlantic, Yours Truly, The Dead Love) mid-year to polish off what will be come their debut EP. The highly anticipated first single 'Again' will be out November 13th.

Taking reference from 2000’s legends Kisschasy & Jimmy Eat World, Waxflower merge nostalgia with progressive melodies and catchy hooks to bring a genuine and unique perspective on alternative rock.
