Dream Feed Biography
Dream Feed is a four-piece indie rock band from Denver, Colorado. The band formed shortly after the lead vocalist, Miguel Dakota, was a finalist on Season 9 of America's Got Talent in 2014. Miguel’s soulful and passionate voice caught the attention of many, including Simon Cowell, who tweeted, "Miguel Dakota. A future star..." after his first performance.
Since then, Dream Feed has taken shape with Miguel providing lead vocals and guitar, Ryan Wagner on lead guitar and vocals, bassist Will Gaines, and drummer Brian Nolan. Their eclectic style combines alternative rock, blues and funk for an infectious musical cocktail. Hints of indie pop are layered with meaningful and powerful lyrics which provide a juxtaposition of a band that is paving the way with new sounds, while drawing from old roots.
While focusing on perfecting their sound in Denver and playing shows in and around Colorado, the band has been drawing more and more attention in addition to collecting multiple awards. They were named one of the top local bands in 2019 by 303 Magazine, Grand Prize winners of both the 93.3 KTCL Demo Derby and Road to Velorama, which landed them a spot at the Velorama Festival along with Wilco, Death Cab for Cutie, Tennis and others.
This past fall and winter , the band has focused most of their energy on recording new music. The first single, “Beyond What We See” is now available, with another single and EP to follow, all released under 3rd and James Record Label.
