GRAMMY® Award Nominee Henry Kapono opens each show with his own classic hits, then talks story one-on-one with the featured artist, “deconstructing” their career as only one artist to another can do. The show also includes an intimate performance and a jam session with Henry. Henry Kapono talks one-on-one with Hawaiian Style Band about their careers, followed by an intimate jam session and concert you don’t want to miss! In the early ’90s, Hawaiian Style Band, led by Bryan Kessler and Wade Cambern, redefined contemporary Hawaiian music. They offered a fresh musical perspective on local culture with original compositions about living Hawaiian style—about island romance, talking story, ‘ohana, and sovereignty. Their interpretation of Hawaiian language songs re-acquainted music fans with these important compositions, many of which to this day remain iconic ISLAND ANTHEMS! Now a permanent part of the band, Grammy Nominated and Multiple Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award winner, ROBI KAHAKALAU, joins Bryan and Wade in delivering the distinctive vocal harmony of Hawaiian Style Band.
