Le conflit et la corrélation entre l'obscurité et la lumière est un thème fréquemment exploré dans l'histoire de l’art. Cependant, peu de groupes ont réussi à retraduire cette dualité avec autant de justesse et d’efficacité au XXIème siècle que la formation japonaise Mono. Mono à l’évolution instable, saccadée, oscille depuis ses débuts entre un post-rock lyrique et prévisible et une musique bien plus brutale et dissonante. En vingt ans et à travers dix albums, le groupe qui a commencé avec une configuration traditionnelle, fonctionne maintenant avec 30 instruments. Sur son dernier opus «Nowhere Now Here», produit par Steve Albini, on se régale encore une fois avec un post-rock amené au rang de grand art tant il est appliqué avec expérience, maîtrise, et émotions. Et la presse musicale apprécie, la preuve avec AllMusic qui loue la fidélité du groupe à soi-même et remercie la formation de nous avoir livré encore une fois un bijou époustouflant.

Jo Quail Biography
Jo Quail is a cellist and composer of instrumental music. Performing live as Jo Quail, her music has mesmerised and delighted audiences in the UK, Europe, Australia, South Africa, New Zealand and Japan.
In her live solo performance, Jo plays an electric cello and uses looping to combine atonality with rich orchestration and deft percussive sounds to produce ‘majestic soundscapes’.
