George Nash Biography
George Nash will take you to a place of zen and relaxation. Taking influence from the likes of Ben Howard and Ludovico Einaudi, the fingerstyle guitarist’s music channels all manner of instruments from percussion to bass and beyond into one acoustic guitar – live and with no backing tracks. George draws his inspiration for his music from nature and the countryside around his home in Wales with the hope of giving a new light on what the acoustic guitar is capable of!
“What I love best about his music is the unique and unpredictable qualities of his tunes. He's not afraid to explore less obvious themes and take the listener on a real musical journey” - Nigel Gilbert
In the past year since branching out on his own from music college, George's music has already taken him as far as Germany, an endorsement with Dowina Guitars, support from the European Youth, the Shrewsbury Folk Festival Launchpad Stage, and more! George writes and plays mostly Original Music in a multitude of different genres such as Folk, Metal, Pop, Rock, Celtic, Ambience and more! You'll have to give him a listen
His debut album (Shades of Colour) released in August 2019 which is designed to be a homage to his first influences (Area 11, Sungha Jung, Linkin Park, Mike Dawes) which lead onto the opportunity to perform alongside Morris Pleasure (Earth Wind and Fire) in the Aberystwyth Arts Center who described George as being "Exceptionally Talented"
George is now working on his Second Album which he believes to be a big step up! Each song will be released individually until it's completed. You can listen to the first track The Grower now.
